BBA ( Bachelor of Business Administration ) is a full time three-year undergraduate degree courses in management. Compared to normal graduation programmes such as B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com, BBA undoubtedly offers a greater value addition to a student in terms of skill enhancement and knowledge enhancement.
The undergraduate degree in Business Management i.e. BBA is a relatively new course, now being offered by some reputed universities in India. With globalisation and liberalisation becoming the buzzwords of the 21st century, it is apparent that a degree in management studies could be your key to unlocking the door to a glorious corporate career.
It is certain that most companies who recruit graduates as Executive Trainees or Management Trainees or Sales Trainees will definitely prefer a BBA management graduate to a graduate from the arts, commerce or science streams. |

Job options for BBA Graduates – The Professionals of Tomorrow
Most of the BBA students are picked up by organisations as Executive Trainees and Summer Trainees. There is absolutely no doubt that any organisation looking for graduates will prefer BBA graduates as they have a greater knowledge of the different aspects of business, have interacted with managers from the industry and have stronger communication skills, to boot. However, placement opportunities are good only for the students from prestigious colleges. The college from where the student has done his BBA determines the kind of job and salary that he will get.
Students from good colleges would normally start as Executive Trainees with monthly salaries
ranging from Rs. 7000/- to Rs 15000/- per month. They then, with experience, move to the
position of Assistant Manager and keep moving into senior management positions with great
improvements in their salaries and perquisites.

Introduction |
Symbiosis was established in 1971, primarily to promote international understanding between Indian and foreign students through quality education. Symbiosis is a family of 27 academic institutions spread across eight campuses in and around Pune and is host to over 34,000 students on campus. These include Indian students from all states of India as well as international students from over 40 different countries. It also has over 80,000 students studying for the Distance Education Programmes.
In May 2002, the Deemed University status was conferred upon Symbiosis. The Deemed University comprises the following institutes: Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Symbiosis Society’s Law College (SSLC) and Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) and Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies Under Graduate – SCMS (UG).University Grants Commission, under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has selected Symbiosis to promote Indian education overseas.
About the BBA Degree course from Symbiosis , Pune
The Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies (Under Graduate) introduced the Symbiosis Bachelor of Business Administration in 2004. It is a full time three-year course, which is currently a much sought-after career choice among 10+2 students.
Symbiosis has achieved a “Brand Image” in management education. Its postgraduate management institutions are among the top ten institutions in the country. One can be reasonably confident that the strong management of Symbiosis will ensure a very sound academic course of BBA.

To gain admission into the first year of the three-year degree course in any of the top colleges the eligible candidate has to sit for written examinations which are all-India examinations generally held in April / May every year. |
