The Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered by IIM Indore, IIM Rohtak, and IIM Jammu is a flagship five-year program aimed at students who have completed their 12th standard and wish to pursue a career in management. It blends undergraduate and postgraduate education, culminating in the award of a Bachelor’s degree followed by an MBA after five years. Each IIM's program is designed to build a strong foundation in management along with interdisciplinary learning, followed by a rigorous MBA curriculum in the final two years.

About the 5 year Integrated (BBA+MBA) degree Course at INDORE / ROHTAK / JAMMU


The five-year integrated program in management (IPM) is a unique and creative programme to meet the aspirations of young students to become management professionals and societal leaders.

 

This academic program consists of 15 terms spread over 5 years with 3 terms a year. Each term is for 3 months. The broad design of the program includes management education in social sciences setting.

IIM Indore - IPM

​

IIM Indore was the first to launch the IPM program in 2011, and it has become the most established and prestigious version of the program.

​

Program Structure:

  • First 3 Years (Undergraduate):

    • The undergraduate phase provides a broad-based education in subjects such as Mathematics, Economics, Social Sciences, Humanities, and foundational Management courses.

    • There is an emphasis on holistic development through courses in liberal arts, social responsibility, and business fundamentals.

  • Next 2 Years (MBA):

    • In the final two years, students join the MBA batch of IIM Indore and pursue specialized management courses.

    • This phase is intense, with advanced management subjects like Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Operations, and Entrepreneurship.

 

Eligibility:

  • Applicants who will complete Standard XII/HSC or an equivalent examination. A minimum score of 60% is required in both Standard X/SSC and Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examinations for general candidates. For candidates from the SC/ST/ PwD categories, the required minimum score is lowered to 55%.

  • ​When calculating percentages for Standard X and XII, candidates should include all subjects listed on the mark sheet, irrespective of the Board’s regulations regarding subject count.

Degree Awarded:

  • Bachelor of Arts (Foundation of Management) + Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Admission Process:

  • Entrance Exam: IPMAT (Indore), consisting of:

    • Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice and Short Answer)

    • Verbal Ability

IIM Rohtak - IPM

​

IIM Rohtak launched its IPM program in 2019, and it follows a similar model to IIM Indore with a focus on management education integrated with interdisciplinary learning.

​

Program Structure:

  • First 3 Years (Undergraduate):

    • A blend of courses in Management, Liberal Arts, Economics, Statistics, and Behavioral Sciences.

    • This stage provides the foundational knowledge needed to transition into advanced management studies.

  • Next 2 Years (MBA):

    • The curriculum aligns with IIM Rohtak's flagship MBA program. Students pursue advanced courses in leadership, decision-making, and strategic management.

 

Eligibility:

  • ​Any candidate who has scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of the General and NC-OBC categories is eligible to apply for the IPMAT exam.

 

Degree Awarded:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) + Master of Business Administration (MBA).

 

Admission Process:

  • Entrance Exam: IPMAT (Rohtak), covering:

    • Quantitative Ability

    • Logical Reasoning

IIM Jammu - IPM

​

IIM Jammu introduced its IPM program in 2021, positioning itself as a strong contender among the newer IIMs offering the integrated management program.

Program Structure:

  • First 3 Years (Undergraduate):

    • The initial phase focuses on providing education in subjects like Liberal Arts, Business Studies, Economics, and Statistics.

    • The curriculum prepares students to think critically and develop analytical and quantitative skills essential for management education.

  • Next 2 Years (MBA):

    • The last two years are dedicated to management courses, with a structure similar to that of the MBA program at IIM Jammu, including specializations in different areas of management.

 

Eligibility:​

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2/XII/HSC examination in arts/commerce/science stream or equivalent.

  • The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in 10th and 12th standard would be calculated based on the Board’s regulation. If there is no such regulation regarding aggregate marks from the concerned board, then the aggregate marks of all the subjects that appear in the grade sheet should be considered for calculating the passing percentage.
