Guide to Maharashtra BMS BBA BCA CET
Overview:
The Government of Maharashtra has established State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell as per Section 10 of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015. The CET Cell conducts various entrance exams for Admission to Professional courses in the state of Maharashtra, India.
Its primary purpose is to facilitate the admission process for Professional courses.

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell shall conduct the Entrance Test for FIRST YEAR OF THREE / FOUR YEAR FULL TIME UNDER GRADUATE DEGREE COURSE (as per the provision in Section 10 of Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015) for the below mentioned courses.

Maharashtra BMS BBA BCA CET EXAM FORMAT

The Online test will comprise of multiple choice objective type questions (Four Options). The duration of the test is 90 minutes. The Online test will have 100 Questions based on Reasoning (Verbal as well as Arithmetic), English Language & General Awareness including questions on culture, current national, international affairs, trade & commerce, sports, scientific inventions and discoveries, Computer Basics etc.

Eligibility for Appearing Maharashtra BMS BBA BCA CET

Passed 10 + 2 (HSC) or its equivalent examination (As per the AICTE APH 2024 - 2027)

Candidates appearing for 10 + 2 (HSC) or its equivalent examination are also eligible to appear for CET

The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A)), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories should produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Social Welfare Department and the Candidate belonging to ST category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department and valid Non Creamy Layer certificate except SC, ST candidates at the time of verification of documents.

On the official CET website, click on the new candidate registration or Click Here. Register with details such as name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, etc. Create a password and proceed to fill out the complete MAH BBA CET exam application form.

Candidates will be required to submit the Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate and Non Creamy Layer Certificate if applicable at the time of filling CAP Application form to be considered under category.

Test Centre for Maharashtra BMS BBA BCA CET Entrance Exam -
1. MAH-B.BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM CET 2025 will be conducted in the selected cities in Maharashtra State. The cities in which Maharashtra BMS BBA BCA CET Entrance Exam 2025 will be conducted are designated as "Centre" for the CET.
2. Each centre may have many "Venues" depending upon the number of candidates appearing at that centre.
3. A candidate appearing for CET shall give his/her preference for the centre, however the State CET Cell reserves the right to allocate the centre and venue.
4. The examination will be conducted online at venues given in the respective Hall Ticket.
5. No request for change of centre/venue/date/session for Examination shall be entertained.
6. The State CET Cell, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc.
7. It also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for.
8. Candidate will appear for the examination at an Examination Centre at his/her owns risks and expenses and State CET Cell will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature.
9. Choice of centre once exercised by the candidate will be final.
10. If sufficient number of candidates does not opt for a particular centre for "Online" examination, State CET Cell reserves the right to allot any other adjunct centre to those candidates OR if the number of candidates is more than the capacity available for online exam for a centre, State CET Cell reserves the right to allot any other centre to the candidate.

Reservations

The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT (A), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), OBC and SBC categories shall produce “Caste Validity Certificate”, ST category shall submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” and EWS candidates shall submit EWS Certificate (State Government Format) All Backward Class candidates excluding SC & ST shall produce Non Creamy Layer certificate valid up to 31st March 2026. If such candidates fail to produce the original certificate or receipt of Caste/Tribe validity certificate, Non Creamy Layer certificate and EWS certificate issued by competent authority at the time of verification at Scrutiny Centre, then such candidates will be treated as GENERAL category candidates for CAP Admissions.

EWS candidates shall produce the Eligibility Certificate for Economically Weaker Section. (As per the format in Maharashtra State Government Resolution No. राआधो-4019/P.N.31/16-अ, dated 31/05/2021 only).

For NRI/PIO/OCI/CIWGC/FN and Jammu Kashmir Candidates: -Such Candidates will get the Receipt-cum Acknowledgement through their login after confirmation of application by Scrutiny Centre.
