Eligibility
The candidate should have appeared/passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination and secured minimum 45 per cent marks in aggregate(40 per cent marks for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra state).
Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination i.e. HSC (Std. XII) or its equivalent examination during the academic year and whose results are not declared are also eligible to appear for MAH-HM-CET.

The Government conducts The Maharashtra Hotel Management and Catering Technology Common Entrance Test (MAH-HM-CET) for granting admission to the colleges mentioned above.

The pattern of the MAH-HM-CET is as given below-

The examination consists of one paper of 100 marks and of 90 minutes durations.
The questions are objective with multiple choice answers in the following areas:
English- 40 Questions
Reasoning- 30 Questions
(Verbal and Mathematical)
General Knowledge- 30 Questions

Preparation for the MAH-HM-CET written test
​
The MAH-HM-CET lays great emphasis on checking the student’s aptitude in the areas of GK, Mathematics, English and Abstract Reasoning.
The students are granted admission based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test only and it is absolutely imperative that the student should secure a good score in the Entrance Test. Students should focus on strengthening their basic concepts in the areas of Mathematics, Logical Deduction, English and Current Affairs.
Students should practice appearing for several mock tests and also try solving the previous year’s papers so that they get a good idea of the type of questions and the level of difficulty of the questions in the previous years’ CET.
