Due to the increasing demand for specialized programs in Culinary Arts, Symbiosis International University has established the Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts which offers a three – year, full-time B.Sc programme in Culinary Arts.

About the Degree

​

SSCA offers a 3 years Bachelor’s degree in the culinary arts (B.Sc. Culinary Arts) that include courses in baking and pastry arts, applied food studies, and culinary science for advanced studies.

 

The program is comprehensive and has an excellent balance of theory, practical’s sessions and industry exposure all adding up to 150 credits with hands-on kitchen instructions supervised by expert faculty in state-of-art facilities.

 

The culinary graduate program helps the student explore the real aspects of a role in an industry kitchen through a classroom setting that is a replica kitchen - the students exploratory space! He can develop a strong foundation of food service, operations, management skills and knowledge that can directly transfer to day one in the field.

 

Most of his time is spent side-by-side with his peers and Chef Educators, who offer one-on-one mentoring opportunities as he prepares complete meals and experiences each station in the state-of-the-art kitchen setting.

Eligibility

​

All students who have passed 12th or equivalent course in any discipline, board council with minimum 50% for general i.e. Open category and 45% for SC,ST candidates.

Preparation for the Admission Process

Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts is a prestigious institute and they will select candidates who have a strong aptitude in oral and written communication skills.

 

In order to do well the student will have to strengthen his concepts in the areas of Mathematics, English, Reasoning and Current Affairs.

 

It goes without saying that the student should prepare himself for both the written test and the Personal interview.
