About the Degree course

 

The Institute prepares students for the four years' BA/BA (Hons) Degree in Hotel Management of the University of Huddersfield, U.K a leading University in the world of hospitality management. This degree is granted equivalence by the Government of India's Association of Indian Universities as being equivalent to a degree in hotel management of any Indian University. This degree is also recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

 

It also offers separately a four years’ specialized BA (Hons) Degree in Culinary Arts from University of Huddersfield, U.K.

 

The Institute is well-equipped with the latest in technology i.e. basic training kitchen, advanced training kitchen, housekeeping lab, front office lab, training restaurant, computer room, state-of- the-art auditorium, a world-class library, etc. designed  to reflect the latest trends in Hotel Management. The teaching material is also of a consistently high quality conforming to the best international standards.

 

Senior executives and managers from the Taj Group also provide inputs in teaching at the Institute with the latest methods and techniques to make the student a model of perfection.

Taj Residency, Aurangabad-The Ancillary Hotel

The Taj IHM is unique in the field of hotel education in India, as this is the first instance where a hotel school has as its ancillary, a fully equipped five-star hotel with state-of-the-art features. The Hotel is managed by The Taj Group of Hotels, a group with an impressive track record of growth, professionalism, and excellence in service over the past ninety years. Taj Residency, Aurangabad, is one of the recent additions to their worldwide chain of hotels. It is the venue for the practical on-the-job training for the students of the Institute so that an optimum transfer of classroom learning takes place in the real-life situation of the Hotel.

 

Hostel facility for boys and girls

Apart from the magnificent building of the Institute of Hotel Management, fully equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, and The Taj Residency, Aurangabad, the Trust has built two spacious hostels for the Institute one for boys and the other for girls with all amenities and comforts.
